[Women's Basketball] HU wins defensive battle over Lawrence Tech

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Defense was on display Saturday afternoon at Platt Arena with the Huntington women's basketball team coming out on top, 50-36, over Lawrence Tech (5-9). For both teams, they came in with 5-8 records and today's contest was their last before Christmas.The Foresters got the better end of the defensive battle as they held the Blue Devils 27 points below their season average. LTU's leading scorers who combine to average 26 points, Kendall Fisher and Jade Faris, were held to just six points this afternoon. HU's defense forced their guests into 21 turnovers which they converted into 24 points. Lawrence Tech managed just 13 field goals on the afternoon at a clip of 29.5 percent.
