BC Softball Vanquishes York in Two for One Special

BELLEROSE, New York —— Coming into Friday night's conference game, both the Brooklyn College softball team and the York College Cardinals looked for their first conference victory to attempt an ascension into the CUNYAC standings. The Bulldogs came into the Padavan-Preller Fields struggling to get any sort of offense going on the road, only attaining eight hits in those four games and scoring just two runs in the process. A historically favorable opponent was exactly what the doctor would have ordered to cure the problems on the batting end. The Bulldogs would respond accordingly, taking both games by scores of 11-1 and making quick work of the Cardinals in five innings.

The York College Cardinals (4-12) continue to seek their first conference victory as they drop down to 0-6. The Brooklyn College Bulldogs (7-13) improve to 2-4, a record that ironically represents both away games and CUNYAC play.
