Georgetown Earns Bid in Inaugural Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's basketball team has earned a berth in the inaugural Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT) and will travel to face the second-seeded University of Washington on March 21. The Hoyas are currently 22-11 on the season and finished with a 9-9 record in the BIG EAST Conference, earning the No. 6 seed at the 2024 BIG EAST Women's Basketball Tournament and advancing to the championship game for the first time in program history.
