No.11 Men's Wrestling Caps First Semester at 46th Midwest Classic with Five Placers, Sixth Place Team Finish

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. | 46th Annual Midwest Classic – 11th-ranked McKendree University men's wrestling ended the first semster this past week and capped the first half of its 2025-26 campaign at the Midwest Classic in Nicoson Hall at UIndy, placing sixth as a team and capturing five individual placers. The Bearcats were led by 197 Logan Kvien, who went for a runner-up finish at the largest Division II tournament of the year while 133 Thaddeus Long and 184 Darion Johnson both captured third place finishes. Rounding out the Bearcats were 165 Sam Richardson, who claimed fifth, and 157 Cale Hoskinson, who landed eighth, while eight of the 10 individuals tallied points for the McKendree team effort. McKendree gets a decent break prior to heading into second semester action, which starts on January 9-10 at the NWCA National Duals tournament in Cedar Falls, Iowa at the UNI Dome.
