Softball's Harris Garners Back-To-Back #GLVCsb Player of the Year Honors; Program's Third-Straight POTY

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. | Great Lakes Valley Conference – McKendree University softball (33-20, 16-10 GLVC) adds a major award and three postseason team selections on Wednesday night with sophomore infielder Lauren Harris collecting back-to-back GLVC Player of the Year honors and a unanimous first team selection. Along with Harris' major award and first team selection, senior pitcher Ellie Quaethem also earned first team honors while graduate infielder Olivia Stansbury was named to the league's second team. The back-to-back Player of the Year honor for Harris also marked the Bearcats' third-straight selection for the distinction as Stansbury garnered the recognition in 2022. In all, Quaethem notched her fourth-straight all-conference selection, Stansbury added her third-straight, and Harris garnered a second-straight unanimous honor with her third major award in two seasons. McKendree heads up to East Peoria, Illinois for the GLVC Championship tournament on May 2-5 with the Bearcats opening the tournament for the league at 10AM on May 2 against UMSL.
