Sophia Schrock Earns LSC Defensive Player of the Week Nod

On Monday, Sophia Schrock garnered her first-ever Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week award. Schrock anchored the Patriot defense and scored the winning goal in a shutout win over a 10th-ranked West Texas A&M squad that boasts the No. 9 scoring offense in the country. The sophomore midfielder helped limit a WT team that averages 19.4 shots per game to a season-low four attempts and a single shot on frame. The match also marked the first time since September 5, 2021, that the Lady Buffs had been shut out of a contest.
