[Women's Basketball] Cheatem Selected for RRAC All-Conference Honorable Mention

Makaila Cheatem, a native of Memphis, TN, was selected for the RRAC All-Conference Honorable Mention Team on February 26, 2022. Cheatem averaged 18.2 ppg for the Lady Bulldogs. She was tasked with carrying the load when senior guards Briana Page went down with a meniscus tear and Daeja Monroe went down with a severe ankle injury. Makaila did not shy away from that responsibility. She scored with the best in the conference on a nightly basis. Along with Cheatem, Jasmyn Jackson was selected to be a part of the Champions of Character team. "Jasmyn was a high character athlete all year. She displayed good sportsmanship on and off the court. It comes as no surprise why she was selected to be a member of the Champions of Character team."
