[Women's Basketball] Goshen hands HU loss on opening day of league play

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – It wasn't how the Huntington women's basketball team (3-5, 0-1) wanted opening day of Crossroads League action to go as they suffered a 72-42 loss to Goshen (5-1, 1-0) Saturday afternoon at Platt Arena.The Maple Leafs ripped off the game's first nine points much to the dismay of the Foresters who struggled to recover the rest of the day. It was a 42-19 difference by halftime. After intermission the hosts had a better outing, which included playing within two points of Goshen in the final ten minutes, but unfortunately the deficit was too much to overcome.
