[Women's Basketball] Red Wolves Honor Seniors

RICHMOND, Ind. – The IU East women's basketball dropped their regular season finale on Saturday as the Red Wolves honored three seniors, Addie Brown, Taylor Browning, and Megan Harlow. Brown scored a team-high 18 points in the 82-54 loss to Midway. Davina Smith had seven points and 10 rebounds. Browning's jumper gave the Red Wolves the 2-0 lead a minute into the quarter. The Eagles would go on a 7-0 to take a 7-2 lead but IUE answered with an 8-2 to take a 10-9 lead midway through the first. Kennedy Griffin added a pair of free throws late in the first to tie the game at 16-16 but Midway added five points to take a 21-16 lead after the first. The two teams would trade buckets in the second, but the Eagles would go on an 11-2 run to end the half and take a 14-point lead into the locker room. Midway would keep their double-digit lead throughout the second half. The Eagles would force 33 turnovers from the Red Wolves.   IU East will host Ohio Christian on Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the first round of the RSC Tournament.
