[Women's Basketball] Saints Fall to USF on the Road

Joliet, Ill. The Holy Cross women's basketball team continued their conference play today, when they traveled to University of St. Francis to take on the Fighting Saints. It was a competitive first quarter and the Saints shot well, shooting 47% from the field in the first. The Saints would trail 16-15 heading into the second quarter. In the second quarter, the Saints struggled with defending the perimeter allowing seven three pointers and would trail 42-28 going into halftime. Coming out of the half, the Saints struggled on offense and were held to 10 points. With the Saints struggling offensively, their deficit grew even larger heading into the fourth quarter down 59-38. In the fourth quarter, the Saints found their groove on offense and scored 26 points, led by Grace Adams and her 8 points in the fourth. Despite the late effort from the Saints, they would fall 83-64. With the loss, Holy Cross drops to 14-12 overall and 9-9 in conference play, while the Fighting Saints improve to 20-5 and 15-3.
