[Women's Basketball] Saints Win Big on Senior Day

Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross women's basketball team continued their conference play today, when they played host to Saint Ambrose University to take on the Fighting Bees. Holy Cross honored Jayda Miller and her great playing career for the Saints on Senior Day before the start of today's game. The Saints struggled early in today's game, going down 9-0 to start the game. The Saints would rally back and take an 18-17 lead heading into the second quarter. In the second, it was a close game with the Saints and Fighting Bees trading baskets. The Saints would retain the lead 36-35 going into the half. In the third, the Saints found their shot on offense and were able to shoot 60% from the field and 50% from three-point range. The Saints outscored Saint Ambrose 26-12 in the third, and Jayda Miller knocked down a couple of three-pointers in the quarter. The Saints would lead 62-47 heading into the fourth quarter. The Saints continued to shoot well late in the game and would come out with the win 81-62. With the win, Holy Cross improves to 15-12 overall and 10-9 in conference play, while the Fighting Bees drop to 16-10 and 12-6.
