[Women's Basketball] Threshers' Battle with No. 14 Sterling Comes up a Bucket Away, 70-68

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. – The two hottest teams in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference met last night in Thresher Gym, as the conference's second-place Bethel Threshers played host to the first-place Sterling Warriors, who are also No. 14 in the NAIA Top 25 poll. The Threshers came into the matchup riding a seven-game win streak, looking to upend the Warriors who are undefeated with an overall record of 20-0. What ensued was an incredible battle between these two teams, with each getting their shots in. Alex Bearup woke up to the tune of 25 points, matching her career-high to lead Bethel. It came down to the wire with the Threshers having a couple of opportunities to take the lead in the final two minutes, but couldn't finish the job. The Threshers fell to the Warriors 70-68.
