[Women's Basketball] Threshers overcome fourth-quarter deficit to take 48-45 victory on the road

SALINA, Kan. – In one of their guttiest performances of the season, the Thresher women's basketball team stormed back in the fourth quarter to steal a 48-45 victory from the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes on Friday evening.Head Coach Drew Johnson and company knew they faced an uphill battle this week, needing to win all three of their remaining KCAC matchups to have a chance at finishing second place in the conference standings. Two stifling defenses kept one another to low shooting percentages. The Threshers held Kansas Wesleyan to 26% from the field, while shooting 33% themselves. Facing a 12-point deficit with nine minutes to play in the fourth quarter, the Threshers finally found a way to get the ball in the basket. They would go on to outscore the Coyotes 17-2 to finish the game, with one final defensive stop sealing the victory.
