[Women's Basketball] Women's Basketball Headed to Alexandria Bracket

Shreveport, Louisiana— The NAIA announced Thursday evening the seedings and locations for the national tournament and the Women's Basketball team pulled the number 4 seed in the Alexandria Bracket and will head back to the familiar Rapides Collisum in Alexandria, Louisiana.The Pilots are set to face the Lions of Vanguard in the opening round of the NAIA Women's Basketball National Championships on March 7th. The Pilots finished their regular conference season at 16-4 with the second seeding entering the conference tournament. They maneuvered their way to the championship game, taking down the Rams of Huston Tillotson and the Wildcats of Louisiana Christian along the way. The Pilots fell to the Eagles of Texas A&M Texarkana in the Championship game, but with their arc rating they were able to secure a bid to the national tournament. This will be the first matchup all time between the Lions and the Pilots. Vanguard finished the regular season 21-7 with a final ranking of 14 nationally.
