Women's Wrestling Notches Eight NWCA Scholar All-Americans

MANHEIM, Pa. | National Wrestling Coaches Association – McKendree University women's wrestling, which finished up the 2023-24 season with a fourth place finish at the NCWWC with one National Champion and six All-Americans, collected academic postseason honors with eight individuals bringing home NWCA Scholar All-American awards. The Bearcats that earned the academic honors were Lizette Bernardo (101lbs), Pauline Granados (109lbs), Cameron Guerin (130lbs), Tristan Kelly (170lbs), Nichole Moore (123lbs), Shelby Moore (123lbs), Jennifer Soto (130lbs), and Viktorya Torres (136lbs). All eight individuals were national qualifiers with six earning All-American status at the 2024 championships as Bernardo, S. Moore, N. Moore, Guerin, Torres, and Kelly all took podium spots. Guerin was the squads individual national champion at 130lbs, her fourth-straight belt in the weight class. McKendree now looks ahead to Olympic Team Trials, where there are four Bearcats currently qualified to compete for positions on Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
