Mighty Macs Sweep Season Series Over Griffins

Immaculata Pa. – (2/7/2024) – Gwynedd Mercy University (8-14, 1-7) traveled to Atlantic East Conference (AEC) foe Immaculata University (12-10, 5-3) looking to get revenge on the Mighty Macs when they fell to Immaculata 75-72 back on January 20th. Going into the fourth quarter, the Griffins were leading the Mighty Macs 46-41 and Gwynedd Mercy was applying stifling defense all game holding Immaculata to 13-of-41 (32%) from the floor. In the fourth quarter alone, the Mighty Macs shot 9-of-17 (53%) and 5-of-9 (56%) from three to give Immaculata a 25-13 scoring advantage in the fourth and walk away with a 66-59 victory. Senior guard Lynzie Eggers (Washington Township, N.J.) was the only Griffin to score in double-digits (20) including two rebounds, an assist, a block, and four steals.
