[Women's Basketball] Lady Bulldogs Win

The Jarvis Christian College Lady Bulldogs took one step closer to clinching the final spot in the Red River Conference Tournament on Saturday by defeating University of Southwest 82-67.  Jarvis played extremely well in the first half and took a commanding lead into halftime with a score of 44 – 25.  Junior Daeja Monroe would finish the game with 18 points and 7 rebounds, while Brianna Page chipped in 24 points and came away with 8 steals.  Nyesha Fisher and Tierra Sanders, the only two seniors this year played their final game in the Rand Center and were honored at the end of the game.  Fisher finished the game with 9 points and 5 steals, while Sanders finished the game with 14 points and 10 rebounds.Jarvis will wrap up the regular season next week with away trips to Texas A&M Texarkana and Wiley College.  These last 2 conference games are crucial in securing a spot in the conference tournament with the top 6 teams.  Thursday's game time vs Texas A&M Texarkana is slated for 5:30pm.  Saturday's conference matchup against Wiley College is set for 2pm.
